You need to type that https in manually, it seems. But once I did, Firefox
informed me that my connection is encrypted and signed with SSL, and I can post
to Usenet. If that's what you meant.

Sign in is encrypted, the rest of the connexion is not, so your data is
vulnerable to interception. Not a good idea.
