Public keys, encryption, Mac and Hotmail

Hi folks. My brother will never stop using MS Live/Hotmail and its
really "awesome" web interface. Is there a plugin for Firefox or IE
that would allow him to right click text, encrypt it with a public key?
He uses Windows, I use OSX.
I'm wondering if something like that exists for both OSes.

UPDATE;
I installed gpg and gpg2 via macports.
I ran gpg --gen-key
answered all the questions.
Now I wonder - how to I find my public key so I can send it to people?

I'll use the command line - gpg2 -e filename

For windows, a taskbar program might help your brother: WinPT
It's browser-agnostic, so he should be happy.

For OSX, seems you have already a way.
