I am looking for a free PGP/GPG program easy to use
that works in Vista 64 bit, I find the commercial PGP
unaffordable with lots of features I will never use,
I am only interested in sending and receiving PGP
encrypted mail.

I looked into gpg but it has no GUI.

Thank you

There are GUIs for GnuPG available for different Mail programs.
I can recommend enigmail for Thunderbird.

Works great for mail signing and encrypting and is easy to use.

I really really dislike Thunderbird, I actually use
webmail and the Opera browser which I consider safer
than Firefox.

There aren't any Opera browser plugins for GPG as far
as I know.

There is a firegpg extension for firefox. I've only tried it under
linux, but I assume it also works with Windows.

I think both GPGSHELL and WINPT can still be found, as GUI wrappers
around gpg. And I agree with Jan, that thunderbird with the enigmail
extension might be all the GUI you need for what you want to do
with gpg.
