If you want complete anonymity on the internet via email and surfing
and

using news groups, you need an encrypted anonymous proxy service.
Legal Self Defense

("LSD Inc.") provides anonymous email that with SSL and a web browser
that uses an open

VPN tunnel with an anonymous proxy via a offshore server. If you
subscribe to both

services you can even access the email's SSL via the VPN tunnel which
provides double

encryption. In addition, you can also use PGP as well so you can have
three layers of protection! No one can identify your IP address from
the other end of communications because the server is anonymous with
its own firewall and security system.

Nor can your ISP know who you contact on the internet other than the
LSD, Inc. ISP also

can not snif or intercept communications because they are inside SSL
and a VPN tunnel.

Uncle Sam can not subpoena records because the servers are offshore
operated by an

offshore company as an independent contractor by LSD, Inc. However,
they will not

tolerate any illegal activities. If you want to assert your 1st
amendment right to

anonymity -- great. If you are a crook or pervert, they will throw
you out with the

trash. Check out http://legalselfdefense.info .

There ain't no such thing as paid for anonymity, especially if
it only
uses a single hop proxy. To be anonymous, one must use at least
three
hop proxy arrangment where each proxy is operated independantly
of the
others, ideally each in separate jurisdictions.
