I'm a retired American from Portland, Oregon now living in a
city called Baguio on the island of Luzon in The Philippines.
It's a very strange and very insecure place.

There are times when I'd like to send a message of my own or
relay a secure message for a Filipino to a peson in or within
toll-free telephone range of Portland. Trouble is I don't know a
soul there who uses PGP. Worse and more troubling yet, EVERY one
of my friends or acquaintenences there flatly refuses to use
PGP. I know why. Not one of them has the brains for it.

I'd probably want to send or relay a single message every one
or two months. I'd like to have a pgp-user friend there who will
accept an encrypted message from me, decrypt it and make a toll-
free call to the recipient and pass the information to hin or
her.

Are any of you from that area and are you willing to do that?
I'm far more than willing to do the same for you, perhaps even
pay a reasonable amount for the service. Send me a private
message if you wish to discuss it.

Why not open an account at say safe-mail.net they provide a secure
'drop' box' for sending unencrypted mail. The recipient, I think
there's a password involved, gets an email with a link to the secure
box. Everything is via SSL. Your dumb friends could even open an
account there too then all correspondence between you would be
automatically secured on the same server. Israelis run this service
in Jerusalem if you're interested. You get a 3MB account with no ads
or larger storage with a fee.

There must be others.
