I had a good laugh today when I read a Yahoo news story about Osama Bin Laden's top secret super clever stealthy way of using the internet. He apparently did not have internet in his apartment, so he put his documents on a thumb drive and sent them through a courier who got online at a local internet cafe.

Actually, my wireless laptop broke down recently, so I had to do pretty much the same thing - take a thumb drive to a friend's internet computer, a library, or somewhere... I don't have internet at home but I have an old computer.

But I'll tell you, I haven't felt so much writing freedom in many years. To be able to sit down and write a document offline, like this posting, without Big Brother or Big Sister breathing down my neck, is a very liberating feeling. Nobody can read anything as I'm writing or saving a file. Government surveillance is slavery, whatever the form, don't mistake it for anything else. Fuck the Moron American Dictatorship! I feel like a they've taken over my own country and pushed the Constitution aside!!!

The biggest danger from the Osama raid by U.S. Navy Seals is that moron police all across America will want to do copycat raids against people they don't like. From my point of view, Osama was an international criminal in no way protected by the U.S. Constitution. In contrast, U.S. citizens are supposed to be protected by law, but for people who the police don't like the law is just a minor technicality for them to ignore. Obviously, those thumb drives make you seem like Osama Bin Laden (especially to your girlfriend's mother).

I can say this as a very learned writer and thinker. As a political dissident, my own ideas are sometimes very powerful so as to arouse attention from the Police because I can verbally rabble rouse the contentious status quo. After I criticized the court system not long ago, I noticed that I was getting unusual messages from my PayPal account and I may have been followed by police spies doing a bogus "fire alarm" inspection at the apartment of one of my academic contacts.

Thank you Remops for all the great work you do. It's not your fault that some of the Usenet has become Spamnet and Trollnet. It's not your fault that the Police are breathing down your necks too (when they can)!

His thumb drive? I am guessing he stuck the drive up his courier's ass, that
would be the same ass we just blew away. Let's hope they checked it (yech!!)
before leaving the compound.

I have a trick question for you: what could be more worthless than an old
computer with no internet connection? How about a thumb drive, and old computer
and no internet connection.

Dude, get a life, or at least go buy a tin hat to wear around. I'm sure your a
real wordsmith, closely watched by MIB.

I guess you mean the same moron dictatorship that methodically found that same
piece of shit you started this story with?

She no doubt does not like you for many other reasons. Time for her daughter to
get an upgrade, I suspect?

a broken laptop and no internet connection.

It is your fault, ramless, because you like to talk without thinking much.
